I have Windows 7 pro disk and I am trying to upgrade from Vista. When I put in the disk it told me that I download the Windows 7 System Checker. Well I download that file and try install and the program wont install it just hangs.
So I just say screw it and [...]

I currently run a Windows Vista home basic 32-bit, is it possible for me to upgrade to Windows 7 pro (x32) and still have my current files or will this be a (clean installation)?

I have a Windows Vista genuine serial Number, Do i have to install Windows Vista on my macbook pro/Mac Pro first and than do the Windows 7 Upgrade from Windows Vista or I can just directly Install the Windows 7 Using Vista Serial Number?
