Windows 7 Upgrade For Pc From Newegg?

I wanted to buy a new Dell Vostro from Newegg which I found to be a great deal.

I was wondering which Windows 7 upgrade I would be eligible for. I wanted Windows 7 Professional. Would it be the free upgrade or 100$ one?

Some disadvantages to the upgrade option for Windows 7?

I want to buy a new Dell laptop - whether an order now, I get a free upgrade to Windows 7 once it's released. Is there any reason to wait until I can get Win7 pre-loaded, or there will be no performance difference if you get the same hardware anyway?
