Need Help Installing Windows 7 & On Macbook And Mac Pro?

Hi,
I have a Windows Vista genuine serial Number, Do i have to install Windows Vista on my macbook pro/Mac Pro first and than do the Windows 7 Upgrade from Windows Vista or I can just directly Install the Windows 7 Using Vista Serial Number?

    First you need to install Vista on your Mac and then perform an upgrade, because Windows 7 will reject your Windows Vista genuine serial Number.
