I Want To Upgrade To Windows 7 But I Dont Want To Lose All My Stuff. . please Help. . . ?

I am running windows Vista Home 32 bit and I want to upgrade to 7
If I use the Easy transfer thingy, and put everything on CD-rw’s, Will the easy transfer thing easily take everything back off the disk and put it in its right place( once I’ve completely installed 7?). . . . . or will I have to install every song and picture myself manually from said disk?
I know this sounds silly but I’ve never used the Easy Transfer option before

Windows 7 is an “in place” installation for Vista, meaning that it automatically keeps all your apps and files intact . It does all of the work for you, you don’t need to make any back up disks. Every song and picture will still be there.
