There is no TRIAL version of Vista, period. The following assumes you didn’t accidentally delete the hidden Recovery Partition when you installed Windows 7:
    RTFM.
Read the laptop User Manual to learn how to burn your own Vista Recovery disks, and how to return your laptop to “Factory New” condition.
TIP: If the above doesn’t work, it means your Recovery Partition is gone, and you’ll have to order replacement Vista Recovery DVDs, but ONLY from the laptop manufacturer, because they include all the required Device Drivers.

There is no trial version of Microsoft Windows Vista.
If you have a Laptop/Notebook you may have a install version of Vista on the “Recovery Partition”. Watch the screen carefully as your computer starts to see how to activate it.
In any case your computer should have a certificate of authenticity (COA) attached. It will look like this (XP version):http://img. auctiva. com/imgdata/7/3/5/7/1…
If your computer is a PC Desktop with the (COA) you can contact Microsoft for a Vista Install disk.
If it’s a Laptop contact the manufacture - Acer, Toshiba, whoever, for a replacement install disk.

there should be a hidden partition on your laptop w/ vista on it. . .
you don’t need a disc and there is no trial, only a real disc you don’t have to activate immediately.

There’s no Vista trial available anymore.
You don’t need a Vista disc to format your drive. You can format partitions of your harddrive using any Windows OS installation disk or using Windows built in “Disk Management Utility”. If youre going to install an OS, then you can use the installation disk for whatever OS youre installing to format your harddrive. If you want to clean install your Windows 7, your can use the same upgrade disk to do that. Just put the Windows 7 DVD in after your boot into Windows and select “Clean Install”.

Microsoft does not have free trials unless they are in beta or release candidate. Download Ubuntu to reformat or buy a windows disk.
